My Heritage

My family comes from Mexico although I was born here I still carry on our traditions. For example our food, like tamales, posole, enchiladas and many more. We also have our own holidays like dia de los muertos which in English is day of the dead. It sounds creepy but it's kind of fun, in Mexico kids will paint their faces like skeletons and dress up. Another tradition is the music and dances. Singers here are very different compared to Mexican music for example here their are so many rappers in Mexico all you see are Mariachis. Which also come with dances and clothing. The clothing men wear is usually black pants, a white shirt and a bow on the neck. The woman will wear big dresses that are very colorful. Recently I went to Mexico and it was amazing all the buildings they have are very detailed and really big. Artifacts that come from Mexico are very interesting to. Like the attic calendar it has weird symbols all over it and it's very detailed. Also the pottery that they make is interesting to they are usually very colorful and bright and have a lot of detail in it. I love my heritage so much I always want to learn more about it good thing I have a family that could tell me all about it.
