"The Outsiders" Theme

I think that the theme for "The Outsiders" is that people should not be judged because of how they look or their lifestyle. I say that this is the theme because in the book the socs would jump the greasers because they were like in the "lower class" and the socs are rich kids. I also think that they should be treated equally because everyone is human and you never know when you help out someone or be kind to them even if there lifestyle is different from yours or live in different places you actually might become friends and those you do have the same lifestyle as you, that person might be the one who is not loyal to you or treat with disrespect. For example Cherry who was a soc treated Ponyboy who was a greaser kindly and with respect unlike her boyfriend who later that night jumped him and Johnny.
